We provide our customers with flexible and safe sample pickup and shipping solutions worldwide. Our cost-effective Sample Courier Services save valuable time in getting your samples to our facilities. We are staffed to receive your samples 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Sample Courier Services to our US facility

Lancaster Laboratories provides secure and timely sample pick-up service and bottle delivery to clients within our Same-Day Courier service area. In a matter of hours, we can pick up your samples, pack them if needed, and transport them back to our laboratory to be logged for analysis.

Because many samples have a brief holding time, getting them quickly, easily, and safely to the lab is of utmost importance. Our couriers have been trained in sample handling, sample transport and chain-of-custody procedures.

To arrange for a sample pickup, please call us 24 hours in advance whenever possible. You can also establish a convenient, regularly scheduled courier stop.

Services Available:

Regular Pickup is available anywhere within our Same-Day service route and will have a nominal fee as long as the samples are ready by 3:00 pm.

Special Pickups are those made after 3:00 pm or on weekends and will be charged an adjusted rate based on time and mileage. Special Pickups also include any location outside of our Same-Day service route.

If your location requires shipping samples to the lab via a commercial carrier, please contact your project manager to let him/her know. Your project manager can provide guidance on best practices for shipping your samples and, by knowing when your samples will arrive, he/she can expedite the testing process by having all the paperwork prepared in advance.

Please note that sample pickup will not be available on the following US holidays:
New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Sample Courier and Shipping Services to our Ireland facility

Lancaster Laboratories provides secure and timely sample pick-up and bottle delivery services. Our Same-Day Courier service offers comprehensive coverage of Ireland through a fleet of temperature-controlled vehicles. Our couriers have been trained in sample handling, sample transport and chain-of-custody procedures.

We also have an established freight network in Europe and can pick up samples from customers facilities in the UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Holland, and Switzerland with delivery to our Irish facility, typically within 24 hours. A dedicated, temperature-controlled sample facility in Dublin receives international sample shipments with delivery to our laboratory facility through our Same-Day service.

• While commercial carriers are still delivering, we can already be analyzing. Sometimes next-day service is too late. We guarantee same-day delivery within our Same-Day service route.
• Our couriers can help save time by packing your samples for transport. We are able to package your samples for transport and serve as sole custodian until samples reach our laboratory.
• Our couriers work diligently to satisfy the demands of your project. We can accommodate pickups outside of our regular pickup routes and time schedules. If needed, we can ship coolers and bottles to you in advance, or we can have our courier leave them for you.
• Commercial carriers charge by weight or volume. With Lancaster Labs you will pay the same low rate regardless of size. This could be a significant savings if there is substantial sample volume. We have a number of different sized cars and vans to accommodate your needs.
• We routinely conduct shipping validation studies to support our European logistics activities and ensure sample delivery is meeting our customers’ expectations.
• Should you forget to call in advance and need your samples picked up in a hurry, our company vehicles are all equipped with phones so we can communicate any last-minute changes to the couriers. If you are on an established schedule, there is no need to remind us, our courier will be there.
